In 1999, Beverly founded Expanding Opportunities as a non-profit organization with the greater mission of assisting underprivileged people in the country of Kenya, Africa. Aina Moja, a small business venture, was established as a means to raise money for the organization while providing moderate incomes for some of the African business people and artists.
