Grade 30, or "Proof Coil" chain is electrically welded from low carbon steel. Grade 30 is a durable, economical utility chain for applications which do not require a high strength to weight ratio. It has a wide range of applications throughout industry and agriculture, including logging, guard rails and towing. When galvanized it also has many marine applications. Note: Proof Coil is a carbon chain and should never be used for overhead lifting.

Grade 43, or "High Test" chain is a carbon steel chain higher in strength than Proof Coil which provides a higher strength to weight ratio. Applications for High Test chain are similar to Proof Coil with the addition of load securement. Note: High Test chain is a carbon chain and should never be used for overhead lifting.

Grade 70, or "Transport" chain is quickly identified by its gold color. Having load ratings averaging 20% higher than Grade 43 chain, a smaller size chain can be used for the same job. Because a smaller size chain can be used, having a lighter weight, handling and storage are more convenient. Higher strength makes Grade 70 ideal for truckers, loggers and highway crews. While tie down and load securement are some of the most common uses for Grade 70, it is also ideal for towing and hauling. Note: Grade 70 is a carbon chain and should never be used for overhead lifting.
