The IT Department comprising of both hardware and software professionals takes care of the business application needs, implementation of various IT/Telecom solutions and maintenance of the IT infrastructure of the group.
Al Hassan has standardized on an ERP (Oracle based) for all application/information needs for its Contracting, Trading & Manufacturing SBU operations. All Finance & Accounts, Fixed Assets, HR & Payroll, Procurement, Inventory, Sales and Manufacturing activities are fully automated and centrally managed with the help of the ERP.
Project sites at remote locations access the Corporate LAN through VPN links and Citrix for ERP and e-mail access.
The Group website and intranet - an employee information portal - are both hosted and maintained by the IT Dept. The intranet provides detailed information on group policies, procedures, forms, general information, e-mail, telephone directory and HR related content.
Centralized control over common resources and decentralized access to functional departments through complete networked systems ensure single point entry of data and availability of online information.
