Electromechanical Actuators convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. The common types of Electromechanical Actuators by their energy conversion mechanism are electromagnetic, electrostatic, and piezoelectric.
In electromagnetics, the air gap separates a stationary member and a moving member of an Electromechanical Actuators.
