BeaverMatic Endothermic Generator provides manufacturing facilities with the flexibility of allowing on-site production of power protective atmospheres for operating more cost effectively and efficiently. Endothermic generator produces endothermic gas through the reaction of a rich gas/air mixture passing over a nickel catalyst in a retort maintained at approximately 1950oF. Actual gas produced is nitrogen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen and water vapor with methane. Gas percentages are controlled by adjusting the feed gas/air ratio. A typical unit has two retorts with vertical bottom to top gas flow. The BeaverMatic generator provides consistent gas mixture and flow using a retort filled with a ceramic material impregnated with a nickel catalyst for improved longevity and cost efficiency.
FEATURES: Heating chamber is lined throughout with insulating firebrick Retorts area circular nickel-chromium alloy fabrication Retorts are filled with a ceramic material impregnated with a nickel catalyst Atmosphere control train allows both the reaction gas and air to be drawn through separate flow meters to the inlet of a motor driven compressor. Endothermic gas is produced through the reaction of a rich gas/air mixture passing over a nickel catalyst in a retort maintained at approximately 1950oF. Endothermic gas is force air cooled by a secondary heat exchanger
