When You Are Downloading an iPhone App from Third Party...

Have you ever been tricked into losing all your account balance in one go, that too, for some services you hadn't asked for at all? Well, I've been. It feels terrible! But it can be avoided with just a little bit of reading and some homework before you go in for that iPhone 3G/4G apps subscription service.

If that 'Free' word attracts you, wait a minute. It's nothing but the companies' aggressive marketing way for target-group teenagers, so as to draw them into the expensive iPhone 3G/4G apps subscription services.

Most companies present the service as free' downloads and once you are caught into the ‘freebies' nest' you end up receiving a app each day, which strains your pocket even more than you must have imagined. These iPhone 3G apps subscription services can easily cost you something like $5-$6 per app, which you don't even need or had asked for.

Must be wondering what went wrong? Well, you didn't notice that tiny, modest asterix mark that was right there next to the bold 'Free'! It stands for terms and conditions!

Usually the actual pricing of the iPhone apps subscription services is mentioned in a small mark that opens to a long document, which is usually ignored by buyers for the sake of 'free' download hopes. And there's the catch. These terms and conditions are the suppliers' safety device. Once the customer checks the box, which is more than often, rather always, mandatory, he is said to have understood and accepted the stipulations of the services.

How to differentiate between a genuine and fake app?

Use your common sense! Read the terms and conditions, not just once but twice. It is taxing indeed but you may lose a good amount of your hard earned money if you choose the other way out.

Before subscribing, ensure that you can unsubscribe it too without any hassle. You must know how to unsubscribe whenever you wish too. Note that a misleading subscription service won't let you do so easily.

Most importantly, if you receive such an offer from an unknown number. These numbers are charged at a premium rate and may make a big hole in your pocket. If the offer is from a known web application development services or Apple iTune segment then only go for it.
