Business cards serve as backlinks of your business to the real world. Designing an effective business card is not an easy task. You may hire the services of a professional card designing company in order to create attractive business cards for your company.

Here are few useful tips for designing a professional business card:

Use your brand's design: While designing a business card, use the design, images, colors and fonts used in your business logo. Try to use the color combination of the business logo used in your website. Using a different logo in your business card can put a bad impression on your clients. In case you do not have a company website, use logo or images that represents your industry. For instance, Times New Roman (font) in dark black is widely used by legal professionals. Further, Tahoma fonts in green and blue is used in medicine industry.

Have a 'Call to Action': An effective business card always have a call to action. This can encourage people to call on the given number. In case you are using email ID, then focus on it. However, business cards are usually designed for local networking, so using a phone number is a good idea. Make sure that people can easily contact you when they dial the number.

Should be easy to read: In business cards the font of the text tends to get smaller and smaller. Most people aging above 40 find it difficult to read small text. Create a brighter business card with dark and prominent text, which is easily readable. Give a sample card to your acquaintances, ask them if they could read it easily and clearly.

Professional design: Create a professional looking card. Avoid using excessive graphics, clip arts, jazzy colors and designs. This can make your card look messy. It can make it hard to concentrate, while reading it. Leave some blank space in your card.
