Originally founded in 1985 as a division of Discount Steel known with the purpose to solely provide regular steel delivery to all major parts of KwaZulu Natal. BSi Steel KZN was originally known as Discount Steel KZN (Pty) Limited. This was achieved on August 1st, 2003 when we were created as a separate private company to the original founding company Discount Steel cc to serve the KZN steel market. Discount Steel KZN showed rapid growth as a steel merchant, and in April 2007 there was an aggressive restructuring process which saw the conversion of all subsidiaries and associated companies into wholly owned subsidiaries. The minority shareholders within Discount Steel KZN were converted to shareholders within the holding company BSi Steel. With BSi Steel becoming the holding company of Discount Steel KZN, KZN fell under the BSi Steel brand as a new brand called BSi Steel KZN. The BSi Steel KZN team has seen excellent growth in the highly competitive KZN steel market; it is with our motivated sales team that we focus on efficient steel distribution within the KwaZulu Natal steel market. Our steel product ranges from flat and long steel products and includes specific products within the steel tubing range. Our distribution reaches out to all parts of KwaZulu Natal. BSi Steel KZN is driven by a core of highly enthusiastic directors comprising of the Executive Director Lee Daff; as well as two other directors Sam Mcllwaine and Glenn Daff. We currently hold 3000 tons in stock, and add constantly to this as our clients'' demand requires. We are geared to supply the material you want when you want it. Due to the large volume of tonnage purchased by us, we are able to pass significant savings on to our customers.
