The business was founded in 1979 and incorporated in 2007 on a management buyout backed by Royal Bank of Scotland, Strategic Investment Group. The company is one of the largest privately owned hamper companies in the UK and supplies all year round and Christmas food and wine gifts, and carries out fulfilment contracts. Hampers are despatched throughout the world. Markets include private and corporate internet customers major UK and international corporates, overseas gift agencies and department stores, promotional goods agencies, internet based affiliates and merchants including flower retailers. A very extensive range of hampers are designed as a standard range and bespoke lines are developed for major customers. There are 20 permanent members of staff supplemented by temporary staff at various peak trading times through the year and at Christmas rising to some 150+. www.hamper.com owned and operated by Clearwater was established in 1996 and is a leading on-line food and wine hamper site in Europe. All programming and design, photography etc is completed in-house and is fully integrated with a bespoke in house designed business wide database system, which is also integrated with supply, customer and carriers' systems.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The company rents additional 25,000 square feet of warehouses outside Abingdon.
