Community expands three new products to its VLF Series of Versatile Low Frequency systems, creating a comprehensive family of high performance subwoofers. The VLF208 and VLF212 were the first in the series featuring a compact, low profile, no-grille design. Then earlier this year the series welcomed the re-introduction of an established favorite, the powerful VLF218, a high efficiency, dual 18-inch subwoofer system with power handling of 4000W program and sensitivity of 106dB/1W/1m. The VLF218 offers exceptional punch, high output, and low distortion for applications that demand serious levels of bass and outstanding quality. New to the series are the dual 8-inch VLF208LV, the single 15-inch VLF115 and the single 18-inch VLF118. The new VLF208LV, a dual 8-inch in a larger volume enclosure than the ultra-compact VLF208, is designed for applications that require the lowest frequencies from a slim-profile design. With a birch-ply enclosure measuring just 10 x 21.75 x 21.75 inches, a frequency response down to 40 Hz (-3dB) and an operating range to 30 Hz (-10dB), the 1000W program VLF208LV stunningly delivers low end power. The VLF208LV is available in both portable and installation versions and black or white finishes. The new VLF115 and VLF118 models are also designed with a slim profile and clean, modern style. Both offer impressive, powerful bass with a half-space sensitivity of 98dB. The VLF115 handles 1500W program with an operating range of 25 Hz to 1000 Hz, while the VLF118 handles 2000W program with an operating range of 26 Hz to 1000 Hz. The VLF115 and VLF118 are available in portable and installation versions. Black, white and unfinished versions are available as standard and custom colors are available as a configure-to-order option. Optional accessories for the VLF Series include the VLF-SAB steered array bracket for constructing cardioid bass arrays, steered bass arrays, or vertical bass columns of the VLF208, VLF208LV and VLF212; caster transport dollies for the portable versions of VLF115 and VLF118; and the VLF-Y208 yoke bracket for wall mounting the VLF208 subwoofer.
