Crozier Machine is pleased to offer our Model 280AUTO Second Operation Lathe. This is a variation of a specialty machine we have been building since 1982 for the automotive aftermarket. The machine is simple and straightforward. It is designed to replace your old air logic, cam operated and manual machines for second operation jobs. It will not do threading, c-axis work or other work normally performed on expensive machines. It does not hog out stainless steel at 200 cubic inches per second at 30,000 IPM. What it will do is all the other things. So if you have an old Hardinge and Mclean Air logic or any other similar machine, take a look at the affordable Crozier 280AUTO. Standard Features: X Travel is 8 inches. Y travel is 6 inches. Linear Guides. Ground Ball Screws. 2 HP, Varaible Speed Motor 5C Spindle Air-Collet Closure Gang Tooling PC based Control (Windows 98) Brushless Drives Small Footprint 240 Volt / 1 or 3 Phase

Standard Features 3/4 HP Belt Drive Air-Collet Closure 0-3600 RPM, Variable Speed Dynamic Brake Cast Housing 5C Collets 1 Phase / 120 Volts Air-Collet Closure: The air-collet closure is designed and built as an integral element of the speed lathe. Therefore, low speed restriction or cylinder wobble is NOT inherent in Crozier speed lathes. The foot switch operated air-collet also mitigates operator fatigue in achieving collet closure. A foot valve operates the collet closure leaving both hands free. The air-collet closure facilitates rapid loading and unloading of the part. For thin wall parts, an air regulator on the inlet air will reduce the pressure to prevent damaging delicate parts. For Inside Dimension (ID) collets, the collet closure provides more than enough movement to properly operate the collet.

The Crozier Model 150AUTO Automotive Speed Lathe is a specialty rotor and armature lathe equipped with a computer controlled X-Z slide. Standard features include a variable speed head, air-collet closure and air tailstock with a collet live center. The part is held by a collet on both ends insuring that the rotor or armature is cut concentric to the bearing surfaces. This will give both the best and fastest cut available in a small lathe. Programming is fast and easy with the PC controller. The machine operates under WINDOWS® 98. The machine comes complete, ready to run, at a very affordable price. If you need to meet the OEM rebuilt specifications, even if you only turn 100 units per day, this is the machine for you. The Crozier Model 30AUTO Automotive Speed Lathe is the industry standard for the production polishing of rotors and armatures. The air-collet closure and electric brake speed up the polishing operation. The 3/4 horsepower fixed speed motor is set for the optimum polishing speed for both the copper slip rings and commutator. The bearing surfaces are easily polished with emery cloth. The air-collet closure grips the parts tight and when finished, release the part with minimal effort. A large double row front bearing is on the collet end. Standard 5C collets are used. This has been the standard polisher in the automotive aftermarket since 1982. Don't be fooled by the imitators. Insist on the original. Standard Features 3/4 HP Motor Air-Collet Closure 1800 RPM, Single Speed Electric Brake Cast Housing 5C Collets 3 Phase / 240 Volts

The Crozier Model 60AUTO Automotive Speed Lathe is designed for the production polishing the CS130 rotor. A large OEM asked us to come up with a simple but reliable machine to cut down the handling of this part. The result is the Model 60AUTO. This unit has two side-by-side spindles driven by a common motor. Both collet closures operate of a single foot valve. Each spindle is set up with a different size collet. The rotor is inserted in the first collet and the exposed parts are cleaned and polished. Then the spindle is stopped (1/2 second) and the part is reversed and put on the other spindle. The complete process is handled in one setup. This machine is suitable for any armature or rotor with two different shaft sizes. Standard Features 1 HP Motor Dual Air-Collet Closures 1800 RPM, Single Speed Electric Brake Cast Housing 5C Collets 3 Phase / 240 Volts

The unit is small enough to fit on a table. The chuck is a standard six inch design. The jaws are two piece for doing both ID and OD work. The oversized spindle runs on a double row bearings on the end with the chuck. Power is provided by a 3/4 HP, 3 phase motor. The spindle is stopped by a electric brake on the back of the motor. Standard Features 3/4 HP Belt Drive 6 inch manual chuck 1800 RPM, Single Speed Electric Brake Cast Housing 5C Collets 3 Phase / 240 Volts

You can now off load the deburring and polishing work to optimize the speed of the CNC. The speed lathe can be placed near the CNC so the operator can do the second operation work while the CNC is producing the parts. The Model 16SL is equipped with the Crozier designed air-collet closure. The collet closure is activated by a foot pedal leaving the operators hands free to do the work. Standard Features 2 HP Air-Collet Closure 0-3000 RPM, Variable Speed Dynamic Brake Cast Housing 16C Collets 1 or 3 Phase / 240 Volts
