Solid Surface is an elegant material available in a variety of colors and patterns. It gives a rich, luxurious feeling to kitchen counters, work islands, wet bars, vanity tops, window-sills, tabletops and many other applications.
Solid Surface is not only beautiful, it is also very durable. Solid surface is resistant to stains, bacteria, heat and impact. It is non-porous with same color and pattern running throughout its thickness. This combination of features provides a deep, rich appearance that is easy to care for, so it's beauty can be preserved for years to come.
Routine cleaning and Care
Solid Surface is nonporous and can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth or sponge and mild soaps or detergents such as Mr. Clean or Lestoil. The matte finish can be maintained by using a wet purple Scotch-Brite pad (7447), of if in the case of a satin finish use a wet grey Scotch-Brite pad(7448). Rinse with water and towel dry.
Do not place hot pans directly from the burner or oven on the countertop surface. Even though some brands of solid surface can withstand some heat or cold, extreme temperature variations will damage the surface. Always use a hot pad or trivet under all heated appliances (such as crock-pots, electric skillets, coffee pots, etc) and hot pans. Extreme temperature swings should be avoided. When pouring hot water (from boiling pasta, etc) into sink, always run warm water to reduce temperature extremes. Heat damage may void your warranty so precaution is advised.
