Design International was established in June 1984 by Paul Gradwell, an electronics graduate. The company started life as a Design and Development Company for the production of electronic prototypes and small production runs. In 1990 the company started to design and manufacture the Vidicom System, along with football ground Gate Control hardware. The company relocated to North Wales in 2006 shortly after appointing John Owen as the new Managing Director.
