Sealed, wear-free design for a critical safety application. The D&R Technology solution for electric parking brake applications uses a fully sealed design that functions without moving parts, to avoid both wear and environmental degradation. This EPB sensor detects a rotating ring magnet mounted to the brake, providing output pulses in response to magnetic polarity change. A durable nylon overmolding, sealed to IP67 standard, equips it to handle the harsh environment of vehicle underbodies. Additional features include integrated structural components, sintered metal bearings and a one-piece harness, allowing the sensor body to be used as a structural member of the customer gear box. This advanced component is made affordable by D&R Technology advancements in manufacturing technology, developed in response to the demands of innovative automotive industry customers.
