This Kawasaki KLR 650 Billet Oil Filler Cap, beautifully CNC machined from solid 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum and anodized for corrosion resistance, handily solves the problem of tampering.
It is highly recommended that you opt for our trick stainless steel key chain size wrench (see below).
One of the coolest things about the mini-wrench is that it's just the right size - less chance to over tighten the oil cap!
Note: A very low profile 24mm hex is machined into the top, so if you get in a bind, it can still be removed with the rear axle wrench from your stock tool kit.
Why did we go to the trouble of designing and building this product?
The stock oil filler cap leaves the guts of your motorcycle extremely vulnerable to damage both mischievous and malicious (dirt, sand, water, rocks or anything up to one inch in diameter can be dropped right into the engine/oil). The tab on the stock plastic filler cap is often broken off by over-tightening. Peace of mind in all your regional or global travels. Oh yeah, and it looks cool!
Note: You do not need to order the replacement O-Ring unless yours is old or damaged.
