The Idler Arm configuration is specially designed for employment under severe road and climatic conditions and it is distinguished for its extended service life. The principal design and technological advantages are as follows:
1. Having been produced with cold heading process and having undergone thermal normalization, the ball stud of the pivot joint has an increased wear resistance and impact resistance;
2. The pivot joint protective boot and the bracket pivot axle sealing rings are produced of the EPDM standard rubber with enhanced physical and mechanical properties and high resistance to ageing which properties provide reliable and long lasting protection against ingress of dirt and moisture.
3. The heat treatment employed for the arm pin allows it to have 40% higher stress resistance what provides a safe strength margin for the assembly.
4. The ball bearings employed in the construction design provide smooth rotation, noiselessness and absence of play in the assembly.
