ESPANOLA DE I+D has developed technology to manufacture a wide range of parboiled rices. Their characteristics are specific and ideal for different uses and applications in industry (industrial manufacturing processes - quick cooking rice, frozen rice, preserves, etc) and in the kitchen (homemade food, restaurants etc.). This is what we call "designer parboiled rice".
Parboiled rice made from cargo rice
Traditionally parboiled rice has always been made from rough rice. Now we have the technology and plant to manufacture parboiled rice using cargo rice.
This new cargo parboiled rice has many advantages:
Less cooking time (10 min.)
Less taste and smell of bran (once cooked). Greater capacity to absorb aromas and tastes of condiments used in cooking
Better texture, separated and unperformed grains
Greater production capacity in the industrial plant
Less energy consumed in the manufacturing process
Our technology allows us to process any type of rice (short, medium and long grain) and all their different varieties.
8-minute parboiled rice
With our technology, parboiled rice that cooks in 8 minutes can be produced. The grain looks the same as clear parboiled rice and has the same nutritional qualities.
