Founded in 1929 by F. W. Mason, the company has dedicated itself to becoming leaders in the manufacture of timber products. Today, the Company Manager, John Spencer, heads a team of experienced professionals working with the guidance of the Masons' board of directors. The pride with which the progress of the company is viewed is reflected in sustained investment into the factory complexes at Colwick, Nottingham (Head Office). Masons are the leading suppliers of finished timber products to the DIY trade. They seek to delight their customers at all times with innovative products, excellent quality and reliable weekly deliveries. Masons are major suppliers to the builders merchants offering customers the many benefits of bulk purchase from a leading timber company. We know that the trade often prefers timber in longer lengths Masons supply it. We also know that continuity and speed of supply are crucial Masons deliver on a regular weekly basis without fail. The Company carries over 3000 stock lines and more than three months supply of sawn timber held under our sheds at Colwick. Our facilities also reflect the size of our operation with twenty-eight planing and moulding machines dedicated to continuous production right here in the UK. Masons supply mini packs of the most popular architectural mouldings, cladding and PSE sizes all produced from European softwood which offers key advantages to the merchant. Timber prices are reviewed on a regular basis to keep the range in line with international markets. A range of sheet materials are offered in crated lots to complete the bulk package. Masons take pride in their ability to provide customers with high quality products made to exact specification. Masons Specials has been specially developed to fully satisfy the needs of customers with requirements for timber products to their own particular and individual specifications. The design team and skilled machine operatives will work closely with customers to produce mouldings in many available timbers or Medium Density Fibreboard (M.D.F.). Wrapping facilities are also available, with many other services for the Timber Industry.
