  • TEA thermostatic expansion valve, for ammonia

TEA thermostatic expansion valves are used for injection of refrigerant into evaporators. The valves are especially suitable for liquid injection in “dry” evaporators where the superheat at the evaporator outlet follows the evaporator load proportionally.
Assembled TEA valves for R717 for use in freezing and refrigeration systems, with rated capacities from 3.5 - 295 kW (1 - 85 tons TR). TEA has weld flange connections, exchangeable orifice and thermostatic element, and external pressure equalization. (1/4 in., ∅6.5 / ∅10 mm weld nipple, or 8 mm self-cutting union).
Max. bulb temperature = 100 °C.
Capillary tube length = 5 m.
Max. working pressure = 19 bar (275 psig).
Max. test pressure = 28.5 bar (415 psig).
Classified for: Fluid Group 1,
Category: Article 3, paragraph 3

  • TEAT, complete valves

TEAT desuperheating valves are used to inject refrigerant into the suction line of the refrigeration system to reduce the high discharge temperatures that can occur when the system operates with highly superheated suction vapour. TEAT valves are also used in two-stage refrigeration plants to control liquid injection into the intercooler and for temperature regulation of the medium, e.g. the temperature of the oil in a screw compressor.Refrigerants: HCFC, Non-flammable HFC refrigerants, and R717 (Ammonia).
P band = 20°C.
Capillary tube length = 5 m.
Max. bulb temperature = 150°C.
Max. working pressure = 20 bar.
Max. test pressure = 30 bar.
Classified for: Fluid Group 1,
Category: Article 3, paragraph 3
