COMPANY PROFILE

1978 : The original founders started a partnership called Syarikat Perniagaan Dan Kejuruteraan Gah Hup Seng in the town of Tanjung Karang in Selangor, Malaysia. 1980 : The Partnership moved into a bigger rented factory premises in the same area to cater for rapid expansion of its business. 1982 : The Partnership was converted into a private limited company called Gah Hup Seng Sdn Bhd. 1984 : Gah Hup Seng Sdn Bhd started to manufacture motorcycle sprocket for the replacement market (REM) and also invested in a small foundry plant to produce motocycle kick starters and other engineering parts 1985 : With experience in manufacturing high quality REM products, Gah Hup Seng Sdn Bhd. was invited by local motocycle franchise holders like Boon Siew Honda, Hicom Yamaha, Lion Suzuki and Kawasaki Sunrock to be the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for their motorcycle sprockets and kick starters. 1992 : Gah Hup Seng Sdn Bhd invested in a forging plant to further improve on its valume, higher quality and techncal expertise. 1997 : In meeting growing demand and quality of its products, Gah Hup Seng Sdn Bhd built its own factory on 4.6 acres of land located in the town of Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. The factory is equipped with some of the latest semi-automatic forging plant, induction furnace, CNC machines, surface treatment plant testing and R&D equipment utilising sophisticated CAD-CAM computer softwares which are capable of designing and manufacturing all kinds of motorcycle, automobile, agricultural and industrial parts and components, including precision tools, dies, jigs and moulds. 1999 : Development of motorcycle engine crankshaft series for Honda, Modenas and Yamaha. 2000 : Become the first factory in Malaysia successfully develop the forging tooth point for tractor machine. 2001 : Development of undercarriage roller series for tractor machine. 2004 : Received the Golden Bull Award for 2nd Malaysia 100 Outstanding SMEs.
