The water lily scientifically known as Water Hyacinth is abundant in Laguna Lake. For a long time the water lily was considered worthless and useless as it clogged the waterways. Now, it was discovered to be a good source of fiber for various souvenir products, ornaments, bags and slippers. Hand weaving and producing these products has become a livelihood project supporting families of unemployed men and women living in towns traversed by the lake. Thank you for helping us clean our lake and rivers and for alleviating the lives of many Filipinos.
