The industrial production of viscose fibres based on the raw material cellulose commenced over 100 years ago. The application fields are similar to those of natural cotton due to their similar chemical composition. Main application fields are textiles and nonwoven products like cleaning rags or sponges. Water based pigment preparations are used for the coloration of viscose. The major requirements are the homogenous distribution of the colorants in the viscose in a challenging environment with pH values from 1 to 14 caused by the complex production of the rayon. All of these requirements are covered by our Aquis line.
