Horstman Manufacturing is named after our founder Gil Horstman. Gil became involved in the sport of karting during the formative days in 1957. Karting originated in Southern California where enthusiasts such as Gil would take their hand made vehicles to the Rose Bowl parking lot to show them off and test drive.
