
Carved teak wood doors or entryways from Java, known as Gebyok. In the old days, a Javanese nobleman must have a gebyok in front of his house. Most gebyok has an intricate carvings. There're many regions in Java island of Indonesia. Each region differ in style of the carvings. As result of Islamic culture influence on Javanese culture, many gebyok contains no human or creatures motif on the carvings.
