Line Pipe Swages

• Sizes range from 1/4" NPS - 8" NPS

• Available material walls are schedule 40 (standard), schedule 80 (extra heavy), schedule 160 or XXH.

• Any combination of end finishes available: current API threads, beveled, square cut (for socket weld), or grooved.

• Available in concentric and eccentric.J.B. Smith Mfg. Swage Nipples, concentric and eccentric, are available in (T) current API threads, (B) beveled, (P) plain end (Square cut/socket weld), (G) ES groove or Victaulic (Std. Grv.) groove connections, or in any combination of such end finishes. Examples are as follows:

  BBE = bevel both ends TBE = thread both ends
  PBE = plain both ends GBE = grooved both ends
  TXG = thread by groove TXB = thread by bevel
  PXG = plain by groove BXT = bevel by thread

  2 x 1 XH TXG = 2" end is threaded, 1" end is Grv
  3 x 2 XXH TXG (Std Grv) = 3" threaded, 2" Std Grv
  2 x 1 XH Ecc TBE = eccentric & threaded both ends

  1. Victaulic Grooves (Gruvlock) are distinguished by having Std. Grv. in the product description on all documentation.
  2. Unless otherwise specified concentric Swage Nipples will be supplied.
  3. Swage Nipples can be supplied with different schedule wall thickness at each end.

  4. Manufactured from A106 Grade B seamless pipe or cold drawn bar which is heat treated in accordance with ASTM A234-04 WPB.

  5. Choice of raw material dependent upon size and reduction.
