Cocoa powder is made when chocolate liquor is pressed to remove three quarters of its cocoa butter. The remaining cocoa solids are processed to make fine unsweetened cocoa powder. There are two types of unsweetened cocoa powder: Natural and Dutch-processed (Alkalized).
Natural Cocoa Powder tastes very bitter and gives a deep chocolate flavor to baked goods. Dutch-Processed or Alkalized Cocoa Powder is treated with an alkali to neutralize its acids. Its delicate flavor makes it ideal in baked goods like cakes and pastries where its subtle flavor complements other ingredients.
Butter content: 10 - 12%. Our cocoa powder has the highest cocoa flavour in Malaysia as our beans are extracted, fermented and dried. Wide range of colours from light brown, brown, mild reddish brown, reddish brown, dark reddish brown and dark brown is available.
