Established in 1982, Kelvin Cave Ltd specialise in products and systems that enable livestock farmers to make more use of their home grown feeds. Our experienced team shares a wealth of knowledge of both practical farming and livestock nutrition. The company also runs a herd of pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle on its farm in Somerset. Having discovered the major economic and nutritional benefits that the Finnish system of grain crimping could offer the livestock industry in the British Isles, Kelvin Cave Ltd took on the sole distribution rights for Korte crimping machines and Kemira crimped grain preservatives in 1996. Since then farmers throughout the British Isles have adopted the system in ever increasing numbers and it is now accepted as an economical and efficient way to feed livestock, maximizing the full potential of homegrown cereals and pulses. In 2001 the company introduced the system to New Zealand, and 2002 saw the first crimping in Australia, Denmark and Iceland.
