COMPANY PROFILE

KH Packaging was established in London in June 1989, by Karl Hodges, as a small one-man operation, but was soon joined by his wife, Bernadette. 19 years on, the business is still run by this husband and wife duo and having started off small the business now employs more than 20 members of staff, with additional family members also included. KH Packaging continues to run as a family business with a friendly approach and is very much focused on value for money and a quality service. KH Packaging intially specalised in polythene sacks and packaging consumables, however, within a relatively short space of time it became apparent that, due to the requests of a number of their customers, the introduction of paper disposables, hygiene products, janitorial supplies and a catering range would be necessary to offer a wider portfolio and choice of products. By 1991 these new products had become an important addition to the range and, of course, contributed to the continual growth the company had been experiencing. In May 1992 KH Packaging relocated to a Midlands base, in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire. The original customer base that had been built up in and around the London area was serviced regularly from the new location using their own transport, and a solid customer base was also built up in the Midlands. Both London and the Midlands are still serviced by the companys own fleet of vehicles and the rest of the UK by outside carriers. During 1995 the company started to outgrow their premises in Burton and later that year relocated to a site in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire where they took on additional warehousing space only to out grow the premises, forcing KH Packaging to relocate once again. The Purpose build, still within Swadlincote, was designed and built by KH Packaging and the Over the past few years the product range has continued to grow, again at the request of numerous customers. By offering an efficient service with a vast range of products to a variety of customers (which include Local Authorities, National and International Organisations, Sub-distributors, large end users right down to the very small user), With the continued expansion KH Packaging are now fully equipped to offer a single source of supply for the majority of your products.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Company relocated in August 2001, giving the Company 10,000sq ft of office and warehousing space and with expansion in mind KH Packaging have the facilty to expand within their new premises or on the adjoining land at their new site.
