As an example of the company’s focus on high quality, Klaus replaces cast iron or softer grades of steel 416 (75,000 psi Tensile strength) with Alloy steel 4140 HT (150,000 psi Tensile strength) as a standard in all valve seats and guards. Klaus uses 316 or 17-4 PH in corrosive applications.
