At Bunzl Lockhart, we stock and distribute a wide range of catering equipment for the purposes of storing, preparing, cooking and serving food. We are part of the Bunzl Group, one of Europe's fastest growing distribution specialists, and our customer base includes leading companies across all market sectors including Hotels, Restaurants, Pubs and Clubs, Leisure, Healthcare, Education and Business and Industry. We are based at Theale, near Reading in Berkshire, where we also have a modern distribution centre that supplies goods to customers in more than 30 countries worldwide. In addition, we have six regional sales offices covering all areas of the UK. Our distribution business has both national and field sales teams who maintain strong links with key customers, and support is provided by eight regional office based telesales facilities. This Sales Desk operation also handles all the after delivery queries regarding products and service. The main selling tools are a series of catalogues featuring an extensive range of products encompassing restaurant and bar equipment, kitchen utensils, heavy equipment and furniture. Over 10,000 product lines are held in our dedicated warehouse facility with a minimum stock availability of 95% and we offer a next day delivery service for all stocked ranges ordered before midday. Other products, such as technically complex or large capital items, are available through the Sales Desk for direct delivery from the manufacturer. Catering Design Services In addition to stocking and distributing catering equipment, we also offer, through Bunzl Lockhart Catering Design Services, a full catering facility design, planning, construction and installation service. Contracts are negotiated by a team of Catering Project Consultants whose role is to brief other staff, gain customer approval and arrange implementation through appropriate contract management and administration teams. The service is operated via our network of regional offices and we complete more than 200 projects each year, ranging from a new kitchen or restaurant through to a complete building works programme.
