Ken Locknane, founder of Locknane, Inc., had an opportunity after World War II to meet with a representative from The Union Carbide Company. This meeting generated the idea for the first ?Jo-Lock? brand LOCKNANE vinyl-film apron ever made. In 1946, our business was officially begun in a basement with one sewing machine. In 1949, Safeway became our first large supermarket customer, and remains a customer to this day (62 years and counting).
