Although it is typical when molding plastic to remove moisture contained in the material before it is injected into the mold by means of a preliminary drying process, this process is not capable of eliminating 100% of the moisture. Matex's GAVEN technology addresses this challenge by vaporizing the small amounts of moisture contained in the molten raw material as it passes through the nozzle along with gas-generating components so that they are released in the form of a gas.
