Technical Data :
- Lubricate the screw plunger every fortnight. Mild application of SAE-40 oil is Sufficient.
- Do not keep the machine under full load, when not in use
- Take care while putting the dead weights.
- Single dead weight produces a Pull of 100 kgf on specimen
Open the front door of furnace & clamp specimen
Adjust the furnace temperature from PID controller and reset the deflection sensor to zero. During start of test be sure that the loading lever (Yellow color with zebra lines) is in horizontal position. As soon as the temperature increases the lever will start coming downwards. It happens due to extension of test component. To measure the extension or deflection of component, operate the “UP” switch of panel. Keep on pressing it, till the lever reaches the original horizontal position. Upon reaching ref. position see for the no. of counts in deflection indicator. Multiply with 0.09 to get the actual deflection in mm. E.g., if the total counts on indicator are 164 then 164 x 0.09 = 14.76mm. Here 14.76mm is the actual deflection.
