Practical values have proven that 30% of the lint produced in a knitting room originates at the bobbin operation on the creel. To prevent this lint from mixing with the air in the room and more specifically to collect it, MEMMINGER-IRO has developed FILTERCREEL 3.
The FILTERCREEL 3 is an enclosed yarn creel system for yarn infeeding to textile machines. Use of the FILTERCREEL 3 in the knitting sector therefore will provide the possibility of increasing machine efficiency and reducing faults in the knitted fabric.
Blower motors suck in air from within the enclosure of the FILTERCREEL 3 and blow it back into the FILTERCREEL 3 through the openings in the oscillating air manifolds. The air is directed to blow onto each of the bobbins to ensure that lint is prevented from collecting at the bobbin tops, fronts, and also the "top and tail" yarns from the reserve bobbins. Air-borne lint is filtered out when sucked in through the air in take filters.
