All MHI marine diesel engines are manufactured to the highest standards applying state-of-the-art production facilities combined with experienced workmanship.
Production is carried out exclusively at the Sagamihara Works in Japan, a facility conforming to strict ISO-9001 international quality standards as certified by DNV (Det Norske Veritas, Norway).

Marine Engine Line up
The Mitsubishi SR series, offered in three model families – of in-line 6, V-12 and V-16 cylinders – enable significant saving in operating costs by virtue of their breakthroughs in component design for enhanced fuel efficiency.
Especially without peer, and considered a new benchmark in its class, is the S6R2-MTK3L, a derivative model of the SR family featuring a longer stroke and high displacement. Where competing units run at 1800 rpm, the S6R2-MTK3L delivers over 1200 PS at only 1500 rpm. Also, its torque produces ideally flat characteristics and it can operate without lag in 100-foot class tugs. Additionally, the S6R2 has an extraordinary fuel consumption ratio as low as 145g/PShr (based on experimental laboratory data).
