COMPANY PROFILE

MIP was founded as Med-I-Pant in 1977 by Montreal businessman, Jerry Friedman.

Friedman was one of the first to recognize the need for a reusable brief for incontinent adults. He and business partner, David Schreiner, brought both a vision and an understanding of customer needs to the healthcare industry.

MIP grew rapidly, both in product offerings and geographic markets. Within two years, MIP grew from a basement plant with four employees to selling overseas and throughout North America.

Our current headquarters houses 150 manufacturing staff and 50 office employees.

Our presence in the U. S. was significantly enhanced in July 2002 by the strategic partnership formed with the Encompass Group. This organization has a dozen manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the country.

MIP's European positioning was consolidated in 2004 with the purchase of Loning Hospitex, a manufacturing and sales organization located in Hamburg, Germany. ?
