
The copper fireplace hood 1-A was crafted from a flat sheet of copper, hammered to provide a curved relief. The blackened steel band with solid copper rivets was welded to the hood to complete the charming rustic look of this copper hood. The large copper fireplace shroud in 1-C sat upon a large fir beam mantle that was the main focal point of the houses great room. The hood itself was 9’ tall and 7’ wide. The copper fire pit 1-B was crafted to be uses as a water and fire feature in a garden. The large 60” diameter copper ring was created from hammering on heated copper sheets to create the bowl shape.
