PLATEX, Swiss manufacturer of trays decides to open a warehouse in France, which will quickly become a manufacturing facility. PLATEX France sets up in "Les Fours" next to Pontarlier, 10 km far from its parent company. PLATEX was born. First objective : to manufacture laminated wooden trays for the very new food service market. PLATEX Switzerland sells its French subsidiary to its Director; both companies split off. PLATEX will grow up till 1984.
