To determine the push-in and pull-out force of our Snap Rivets in clear polycarbonate.

Parts Used:

* 236-220603-02-5538 Male Snap Rivet
* 236-220604-00-5538 Female Snap Rivet
* Tinius Olsen Force Tester

Tester Pull-Out Procedure:
A clear Snap Rivet was inserted, by hand, through a pull-out fixture. The fixture was then secured to the base of the tension tester, and strapped to a movable arm. At a rate of 2.50 inches per minutes, the arm was pulled away from the base. The maximum force needed to pull the Snap Rivet apart was recorded.

Push-In Procedure:
The female Snap Rivet was secured on the base of the force tester. The mating part was then inserted using the moveable arm of the force tester set at 2.50 inches per minute. The maximum force required to completely insert the fastener was recorded.

Results:

* Average Pull-out Force 45 lbs
* Average Push-in Force 18 lbs
