In 1975 BCI has commissioned its first Chloralkali plant to produce:
• Liquefied Chlorine Gas
• Caustic Soda Liquid & Flakes
• Hydrochloric Acid
• Sodium Hypochlorite
Subsequently the demand quickly outstripped supply and in just two years the capacity was doubled.
In 1983, the mercury cell plant was supplemented with a new plant four times the size of the original, using then state of the art membrane technology recently updated. At this time being only the sixth company in the world to use this advanced pollution free technology, the process ensured extremely high purity end products.
Both Chloralkali units utilize local raw materials and are monitored using the latest computerized technology. As with BCI’s other manufacturing facilities, the chloralkali plants are operated to stringent international safety and quality control standards.
