
The BG pump has been produced by Pace for over 10 years and has proven to be very efficient and reliable (as is the case for all our oil pumps). Over the years, this pump has been used by many of the world's leading Touring Car and Le Mans teams, and has even been used on offshore power boat and vintage aircraft engines. The pump can be supplied as a 1, 2, 3, or 4 stage unit and is capable of dry sumping high revving 2L engines, right up to 8L capacity engines. With the very efficient oil flow through the pump, response time to engine rpm/pressure demand is extremely rapid. As with our entire range of modular pumps, the pressure side can be engineered to provide the engine with its exact requirements of pressure per given RPM.
TECHNICAL DETAILS Pressure stage can be at either the front or the rear of the pump. Rotor, modular type, gravity die-cast alloy pumping stages, using unique high flow rotor assembly. All stages fully 'O' ring sealed. Sturdy 5/8" diameter drive shaft with 3/16" key detail. Drive shaft runs on ball bearings front and rear if needed (we can supply with twin ball bearings in the nose should the pump be required to run off a camshaft belt.) Barrel type relief valve for smooth oil pressure can be fitted in front stage (next to pulley) or rear stage. Special heat-treated alloy flanged fittings are 'o'-ring sealed to the pump and are available in 1/2", 5/8", 3/4"BSP, -10/-12/-16 JIC, plus stems 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" diameter. Each stage has 2 bosses drilled 6.5mm for ease of mounting, but we can extend main body studs to allow nose mounting or provide side mounting plate as per 'Chevy' pump.
