PasandTMWire Drawing Soap WSD100 is the high-performance soap that assists in the good surface finish and long die life. It is effective in high speed and deep drawing application of metals and provides optimum film strength, lubricity, and good metal wetting characteristics.
There are a number of factors which have a considerable effect on the drawing process including a composition of the metal to be drawn, Percentage reduction, Machine design and constraints, drafting practices, drawing speed, die design, the Surface condition of road and carriers.
Oxides need to be removed prior to wire drawing process to ensure optimal results.
When wire rod is produced, oxides are formed on the surface of the wire. Fe3O4 is a blue oxide that forms on the wire as it cools following the rolling process and Fe2O3 is the red surface oxide or rust that forms during shipping and storage.
Features and Benefits
· It provides excellent surface finish and dimensional control.
· It has good cooling and flushing properties.
PasandTM WSD100 is used in several applications for wire drawing, including electrical wiring, cables, tension-loaded structural components, springs, paper clips, spokes for wheels, and stringed musical instruments.
