Primal Technologies was an early pioneer of many Unified messaging features including voice-to-email, fax-to-email, and WWW-based voice and fax mail access and control. While many of these VM features are conveniently available from any handset equipped with an HTML browser, Primal Technologies further enhances the Unified Messaging experience with specific Visual Voice Mail (VVM) features enabled in some handset manufacturers’ models. Voicemail features commonly available over the DTMF, and web/email interface are now also visually available via a handset client, and seamlessly interoperate with the same Primal Unified messaging features (e.g. Voice/fax mail review and management features) over IMAP4, SMTP, and SMS interfaces as shown on the right.
While the currently supported VVM features are a subset of the Unified Messaging feature control currently available on Primal Technologies’ WWW subscriber self-care pages, Primal is committed to including new VVM features as they become supported in handset clients.
Primal Technologies MMS Server further allows delivery of voice-to-MMS messages to any handset that supports MMS capability. This reduces reliance on an existing MMS Server, or when one does not already exist in the operator’s network. Primal Technologies SMSC interworks with the Primal VVM for the exchange of VVM status and control messages with the handset VVM client.
