A transformer that decreases voltage from primary to secondary (more primary winding turns than secondary winding turns) is called a step down transformer. These transformers are also called Step down Insulation or Isolation Transformers.
This is a step down insulation transformer, as evidenced by the high turn count of the primary winding and the low turn count of the secondary. As a step down unit, this isolation transformer converts high-voltage, low-current power into low-voltage, high-current power. The larger-gauge wire used in the secondary winding of this step down insulation transformer is necessary due to the increase in current. The primary winding of this isolation transformer, which doesn't have to conduct as much current, may be made of smaller-gauge wire.
WWe can supply these types of step down transformers in various capacities and as per the customer specific requirements.Rating Available: 1 KVA to 1000 KVA
