Rawfert s.a.l is a Lebanese firm based in Beirut, affiliated to the Rawmatimpex s.a.r.l group of companies founded in 1968 by Mr. Louis E. Farsoun. Rawfert s.a.l is currently one of the largest suppliers of Rock Phosphate from Syria to the markets of Ukraine and Byelorussia. Since its inception, the company has exported above 1.5 Million Tons from Tartous port and has developed a consistent growth projecting a target of 800 000 Mt for 2008. Positioning itself as the main supplier of Rock Phosphate to the ex-U.S.S.R satellite states, the company is seldom involved in barter/tolling operations of exporting different Phosphate based fertilizers from Ukraine to the following markets: Syria, Libya, Algeria, Gambia, Nigeria and Taiwan. The core competency of Rawfert s.a.l is the sourcing of raw materials for the fertilizer producers at very competitive conditions and with flawless regularity and reliability. The company is highly capable of concluding tailor made intelligently structured, fertilizer operations to difficult niche markets, benefiting from its deep know how.
