Quality, Service & Customer Satisfaction are the key tenets that have been behind Reif & Son's business philosophy since their incorporation in 1928. The quality of the wood veneers starts at source, either the round veneer logs individually selected from the forest for their grain and colour, or the personal selection of sliced veneers from mills all over the world. This control and attention to the sourcing and production pays dividend when one inspects the veneers held in the warehouse situated close to Manchester airport and the motorway network. Reif & Sons policy of holding a wide range of stocks is evidenced by the 80 or so different species available to satisfy the off the shelf demands of their customers. American woods feature strongly and the lighter Maple & Cherry are especially fashionable, as are some of the pinker European woods such as Steamed Beech; Swiss Pear and Weathered Sycamore. Of the darker species, Wenge and American Black Walnut are also proving popular. Alongside these popular species are the highly decorative: Brown Oak: Pollard Oak (pippy and cluster), Kevasingo, Lacewood and a variety of Burrs are just a few of the woods to provide a strong decorative contrast. The service provided by Reif & Son begins with understanding the requirements of each individual customer whether Architect, volume furniture manufacturer or Bespoke cabinet maker. Reif & Son will work with their customers sourcing new materials for prototypes: developing new ranges and holding backup stocks to ensure continuity of supply. Personal inspections to select ones own veneer are always welcomed. Visitors from all over the United Kingdom as well as the rest of the world regularly visit this emporium of natural beauty.
