In 1957 Rudolph J. Hoffman purchased a saw mill for $1,500. The purchase included one mule, two employees, and two army trucks. Shortly after the purchase, the facility was moved 4 miles to its current location. Rudolph worked two jobs until 1959, then he decided to manage the saw mill full time. Now almost 50 years later, the facility has grown in many ways.
