Ground Power Unit Diesel driven for 115Vac 400Hz and 28Vdc mounted on a trailer (steel structure) in
compliance with MIL-M-8090F, equipped with four pneumatic wheels, towing bar for a maximum speed of 30
Km/h. Each GPU is standard equipped with the following ancillary outputs: - single-phase output (socket
according to CEI standard), 115 V 400 Hz, Ph+N+Gnd, 16 A max - three-phase output (socket according to CEI
standard), 115 V 400 Hz, 3Ph+N+Gnd, 16 A max - 28 VDC output (socket according to CEI standard), 2 poles,
25A max
INSTRUMENTATION
AC digital ammeter, connection on CT/5A, scale 0 ÷ 200 A
AC digital voltmeter, direct connection, scale 0 – 300 V
AC digital frequency – meter, scale 370-430 Hz, with freq./voltage converter 1mA nominal rating
DC digital voltmeter, direct connection, scale 0-40 V
Moreover the following are installed: time counter / RPM readout / fuel level

PROTECTIONS AND SAFETY DEVICES
Every GPU is standard equipped with the following protection / safety devices:
Overvoltage / undervoltage (1st threshold) on AC output
Overvoltage / undervoltage (2st threshold) on AC output
Overfrequency / underfrequency (1st threshold) on AC output
Overfrequency / underfrequency (2st threshold) on AC output
All the above mentioned devices are on digital cards, fully adjustable.
The methods and application are in compliance with STANAG 3457, Ground Electrical Power Supply For Aircraft.
DIESEL ENGINE
Deutz BF4M-1013 , 4 cylinder 90kW in continuous at 2.000 Rpm, equipped with electronic speed control,
operative with common diesel fuel or aeronautic JP8 (compliance MIL-T-83133, NATO code F-34) without any
change.
Environment operative temperature: –30°C + 52°C;.
Certified DIN ISO 3046-1 / EU9768 STEP1, emission opacity lower than requirement stated in ECE R24.
Autonomy: up to 8 hours at engine rated power
