Camelina oil is produced at Volgograd Mustard Oil Plant Sarepta LLC according to TU 9141-003-10513491-03 from the oil plant camelina (lat.-Camelina sativa) by cold pressing method. The value of camelina oil is in high content of unsaturated fatty acids that reaches 90 %, about 60 % of them are polyunsaturated fatty acids and the rest are Omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-Linolenic acid). The advantage of camelina oil is high content of liposoluble vitamins. Its content of carotinoids (0.5-2.0 mg%) far exceeds their content in sunflower oil, soybean oil and other oils.
Owing to its high food value, camelina oil is used in all dishes and in all methods of preparing food, dressing salads, preparing sauces and dressings and for frying. Regarding its organoleptic and physicochemical properties camelina oil meets the following requirements
