Liteline™ boring assemblies are 30-60 % lighter than classic boring assemblies. This low weight makes them suitable for limited ATC (automatic tool changers) and allows faster tool changes, quicker spindle acceleration and higher productivity.
Product features and customer benefits;
Light weight fine boring heads and holders
Up to 60% weight reduction, as made from high tensile aluminium.
4 Liteline™ heads for Ø 64 to 205 mm.
Liteline™ boring heads, extensions and reductions bodies made of aluminium.
High tensile aluminium, with hard surface coating (anti-wear, anti-scratch, anti-corrosion) for long life.
Larger outer diameters vs. classic Graflex®, and connection shank remaining in steel, for high stiffness.
Liteline™ heads are an ideal solution when classic heads are too heavy for the automatic tool changers (ATC).
Longer and larger bores possible on smaller machines.
Higher hole precision by less horizontal spindle stress.
Faster tool changes, approach feeds and spindle acceleration cycles.

The radial type of fine boring heads consist of two ranges: A780, a range of 9 pre-balanced, fine boring heads covering a diameter range of 15 - 205mm (.59 to .72 inches). A790, a range of 5 balanced fine boring heads designed for high speed machining in the 30 - 115 diameter range. The main benefits of the A780 and A790 radial type heads are: Precision - Micrometric adjustment within 2.5 µm on the diameter - Micrometric diameter setting protected by the insert holder and head contact - Hole diameter precision IT5 is possible to achieve Productivity - Cutting speeds up to 1500 m/min with balanceable heads - Coolant through the head towards the insert User friendly - A790 balancing rings with direct setting - no balancing charts needed - Insert holders for chamfering and back boring Cost effective - For low to average machine speeds, pre-balanced heads are ideal - All heads use only three insert holder sizes Long tool life - All A780 and A790 type heads are dust proof and greased for life - no re-greasing maintenance is required. Flexibility - Large range of insert grades for all materials ...
